You can't get any free games with verizon phones because they use brew. The only way to get games is by buying them through verizon
Reply:Actually . . . you can download BREW files then use a program like Bitpim to upload it to your phone. Report It

Reply:The short answer is...not yet.

Right now Verizon has control of the distribution of games as there are not alot of brew games available other than developers that are selling directly to/through Verizon. Expect to see more games being developed that are outside Verizions network.

Also, you may have to jump through a few hoops to get them onto your phone.

Ringtones and images are an example. Verizion doesn't make it easy to get them onto your phone and even harder to get them to be recognized.

The smartest thing you can do is buy a usb data cable off of ebay (not the one verizon sells) that lets you charge the phone and transfer data at the same time without that silly connector that you have to plug an AC adapter into. You can usually pick them up for less than $10.00 shipping included.

The next thing you is download a free copy of BitPim. It allows you to download mp3s, ringtones, wallpaper, etc to your phone, it allows you to sync up your calendar, contact list, etc with outlook and other software programs. It also backs up your content as well. You can build playlists and get into the internals of your phone.

The first annual brew conference is happening in June, so expect to see additional software coming out there...

There are alot of smart people out there, give it a little time and if Verizon refuses to put the needed functionality out there, one of those smart people will figure out how to do it themselves.

A good source for info about the EnV (VX9900) is http://www.howardforums.com.

Also, a good source for free ringtones is http://www.phonezoo.com. You can send ringtones as media messages and when you read the messages one of the options is to save as a ringtone.

Cheers,

Kevin
